Fit 094: Exercise, Avoid Starvation Mode, Commitment

Exercise for brain power! Starvation mode and what it means to your body! Make a commitment to yourself!

Our bodies are made to move! You need to get it moving every day. You may know that 30 minutes a day of walking reduces the risk of many serious diseases. But did you know that recent studies show that just 30 minutes a day of walking can even grow new brain cells! I don't know about you but I can use all the brain cells I can get! Add up your walking and see if you total 30 minutes a day. Count sessions longer than 5 minutes. A three step "walk" to get a drink of water doesn't count!

You may be in starvation mode and not even know it! If you go too long without food, usually more than about 5-6 hours, your body can go into starvation mode and hold on to body fat while using lean muscle for energy. The exact opposite of what we want it to do!! Find out how to avoid starvation mode with an eating plan. Learn why breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, especially when trying to lose weight! Discover how to use food to put your body into a fat burning mode!

Are you committed to being a better you? It's easy to over commit ourselves to other people, but are you truly committed to your improvement program? Use your goals and reminders to commit to yourself and be prepared to make a commitment to succeed!
